My journey and relationship with clay has been extraordinary, enriching and delicious.
Working with clay & teaching have been a part of my life for many years. I am very passionate about both.
When I was an undergraduate student I had the good fortune of receiving a fellowship with the ceramics department. This was when I began to learn the art and science of making glazes and firing gas & electric kilns.
Over the course of my life I have found many avenues and opportunities to teach. I have taught art in public & private schools, as well as at community art & clay centers. In addition to teaching ceramics and art I also teach yoga, skiing, and spiritual healing.
As long as I have worked with clay my work has reflected the influence that nature has had on me. My awareness of that became even more clear when I awakened to my shamanic practice.
Clay is an integral way for me to express myself, as well as being an adventure in creating.
